The Platinum Adults Social Club: Clara's Senior Care Center

The Restoration Team’s 278th home completed in November 2020 was a bit unconventional, but no less important. Clara’s home was not one single family’s, but a community center for seniors. The Platinum Adults Social Club has been a fixture in this Northeast Houston neighborhood, giving elderly members a place to spend fellowship together.

To make this nonprofit functional again, we put on a new roof, replaced damaged siding, and put on a whole new coat of paint - a beautiful white with green trim, just what Clara had in mind.

Special thanks to St. Paul’s United Methodist - Houston for removing and replacing the siding, and to the AmeriCorps NCCC for painting the home! In total, 100 volunteer hours were served here and the project cost was $6,077.
