Linda's Home - A Full Rebuild

We at The Restoration Team are thrilled to announce the completion of Linda’s home! For anyone following along to what we’ve been up to for the Summer and Fall months, you’ve likely seen a bunch of volunteers hard at work on Linda’s home (219 volunteers spending 2,665 hours to be exact). This has been a full top to bottom rebuild with everything from the foundation to the roof and everything in between.

When we first met Linda, years of moisture build-up in her home left holes all over her floors. The situation got so bad that she needed to lay whatever she could - plywood, boards, old doors - throughout the home so she could walk from room to room. Our first step to repair the home was to demo all the floors and replace every single foundation joist in the house.

On top of that, we replaced the roof, upgraded the electric and plumbing, insulated (for the first time in the 80 years), hung new drywall, replaced siding, painted, laid floors, and renovated both bathrooms and kitchen with all new appliances. The place looks brand new and we can’t wait to see all of the new memories Linda and her family will make in their safe, secure home.

Thank you so much to everyone who made this project a reality. Linda and her family are so happy and that just means the world to us. If you would like to support similar projects like this we would love to invite you to donate or volunteer with us! Every dollar you give and every hour you serve will make a big difference to a family in need.
