pray for our volunteers
We would not be anywhere without the hearts and service of our tremendous volunteers. Our ministry relies on volunteers from near and far to put our clients in safe, livable housing situations and for that, we are eternally grateful. Volunteers serve with us on the worksites and in the office, advocating for our mission in their own networks, and serving as a beacon to make a difference throughout their community. Please join us in praying for thanksgiving and safety for these groups of volunteers:
Ongoing Volunteers
The weekday crew
We have a group of about a dozen retired/semi-retired volunteers who join us one or two days every week that we call “The Crew”. The Crew is immensely important to our progress and has made a huge difference to the dozens of families they have served. They use this time to hone their skills, serve their community, and grow in fellowship with each other. We appreciate each and every one of them for their service.
Saturday volunteers
The Second Saturday of every month is our Second Saturday Serve Day open to anyone interested in volunteering. Any other Saturday is open for an individual church or organization to sign up to serve together. Prayers are appreciated for the safety and energy of our weekend volunteers.
board of directors
The Restoration Team has a nine-person Board of Directors that govern the nonprofit. Our Board leads many of the behind-the-scenes initiatives including fundraising, accounting, financials, and overall vision. Please pray for wisdom and sound decision-making for our Board of Directors.
AmeriCorps NCCC
We utilize AmeriCorps NCCC teams throughout the year to serve on our worksites for weeks or months at a time. The AmeriCorps NCCC is a federally run service program that takes teams of young adults across the country, serving at different nonprofits along their route. Earth 3 is our current NCCC team that has been serving with us for the past month. We will be receiving a new team in November-December 2023.
welcome hosts
These volunteers provide meals, snacks, and hospitality to our out-of-town mission teams and AmeriCorps volunteers. We are thankful for the tender and welcoming spirit that these volunteers show.
