Lilly's Home
Lilly’s home was completed in March of 2020. This full rebuild was our 251st repair.
Lilly is a 78-year-old woman whose home took in three feet of water during Hurricane Harvey. The home was never mucked out following the flood and for eighteen months, Ms. Lilly continued to live here before Adult Protective Services deemed the home uninhabitable.
Because of our incredible volunteers and supporters, The Restoration Team was able to muck out the home and remediate the mold, stabilize the foundation, replace the roof, repair the siding, build a wheelchair ramp, upgrade the plumbing and electric, and install all new insulation, drywall, flooring, and cabinets.
128 volunteers from all over the country poured 2,637 hours of love and labor into Lilly’s home. The total repair cost was $28,339 Thank you to everyone who supported us through this incredible project, you have truly made a difference for Lilly and families all over!
