Hurricane Laura and Marco preperation

Hello ,

We are monitoring the activity in the gulf and following the messages coming from the Harris County Office of Emergency Management. The current models are still only best guesses, and as we all know are subject to change as the storms move.

We are praying that these storms do not make landfall. We are also preparing for that event.

First make sure you and your family are personally prepared – CLICK HERE

Is your congregation prepared?

Response and coordination has been a goal for The Restoration Team be working with our congregational members to prepare for. We are working along side Houston Responds and The Texas Congregational Disaster Readiness group to put together a training and communication platform. Below is a link to muck and gut training, with an emphasis on how to volunteer during COVID time.

As the storm continues to move, more information will be made available.

If you have not yet please register your congregation at www.WillingtoRespond.org this allows us to have all points of contact in a data base for better communication.

The following training available over Zoom for any interested Congregation. You need not be a member of TXCDR to participate. Registration is required for these meetings. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Sunday look for additional resources with details regarding volunteering during COVID, how to muck and gut and stay safe.

We will plan on a zoom call Monday morning at 9am to update with changes over the weekend. Zoom link

Once we know more, we will set a regularly scheduled call if necessary.
