Hari's Home
Hari’s home, TRT’s 221st repair project, was completed in July 2019. Hari flooded when the dam was released in the middle of the night following Hurricane Harvey. He and his family had started the restoration work - gutting the home and remediating the mold - but were the victims of contractor fraud and couldn’t quite finish.
Together we were able to install vapor barrier along the perimeter, upgrade the electricity, insulate, and drywall. After those repairs, Hari and his family were able to complete the repairs themselves.
28 volunteers spent 171 hours serving at Hari’s house. In total, the repairs cost $18,189. When we were finished, Hari took us to lunch at his favorite restaurant, one of our favorite memories from that year!
