🚨Volunteers & Support Needed🚨: Spring 2024 Flooding in Southeast Texas
We are reaching out to share an important update on the ongoing efforts to address the severe flooding that has impacted approximately 1,700 homes across five counties. TRT and TXCDR are at the forefront, coordinating with disaster response partners to optimize our efforts, particularly focusing on the most vulnerable populations in Montgomery County, just south of Conroe.
We are diligently working to gather and assess data to extend our reach to Trinity and Harris Counties as information becomes available. Our daily coordination with the Texas Gulf Coast VOAD allows us to stay on top of the evolving needs and ensure our response is swift and effective.

While we’ve made great progress, over 200 homes are still in need of help on our crisis cleanup list. The "muck and gut" effort is crucial, and its continuation relies on the strength and commitment of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors.

Recent Efforts and Impact
On May 9th and 10th, we began connecting with homeowners who had registered through crisis cleanup. Thanks to the support of volunteers like Marcus Carlson from Hope Disaster/TAC, we were able to identify a dozen families in high need along the San Jacinto area. This past Saturday, our 15 volunteers made significant strides:
Visited 6 homes, completing three.
Provided necessary supplies to two more homes.
Began assistance on another home, with plans to return shortly.
